Thanks for the feedback @chrillek and @cgrunenberg. I have taken your inputs and edited the script to use recordType instead of kind in the whose queries; and updated the ProgressIndicator code.
Doing the right thing, required a little extra work to incorporate the Object Identifier fix for enumerated types identified here: Automating DT with JavaScript: Making whose work with type - Tips - DEVONtechnologies Community by @chrillek back in Aug 2021.
It also required different testing criteria because kind and recordType do not return the same values:
