Add web document to DT script recently broken

I used to have no problems adding web archives from Firefox into DEVONthink using the ‘Add web document to DEVONthink’ script.

I don’t think I changed / updated anything, but it has suddenly stopped working, giving me a Firefox “No browser open / in front” error message. I tried re-installing DTPro -> Help -> Install Add-ons -> reinstalling scripts, but no fix.

Running:

  • Mac OS X 10.6.2
  • DEVONthink Pro Office v2.0.1
  • Firefox v3.6

Any suggestions or workarounds?

Unfortunately none. Firefox’s AppleScript support has been always poor, lately there’s more or less no AppleScript support at all and therefore the scripts don’t work. You might send the Firefox team a request to finally add real AppleScript support of course.
