Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I’m new to DT.
Sometimes the OCR is less than perfect and I would like to be able to add some keywords that don’t get picked up. presumably i want to edit the OCRed text associated with the pdf - how do I do that?
It’s not possible to modify the OCRed text layer of PDF documents but you could add keywords to the properties (see Tools > Show Properties…).
It is also possible to Data > Convert > to Plain Text (or to Rich Text) the OCRd PDF and have a separate, editable, document where you can make corrections if needed. This helps when you have a need to cleanup poorly-converted PDFs and want to improve the results of Search or Classify.
OK, thanks for that. Both seem OK as a workaround, but a bit clumsy for routine use.
