Adding new items to indexed Global Database

Hi. I’m using M1 Max with 500GB and have been experiencing problems with hard drive capacity while using DevonThinkPro 3. As a result, I moved the indexed database file to an external hard drive dedicated to DevonThink. Then I moved the database file to the external hard drive after indexing all files. Now, DevonThink opens the database as Open Databases.

If I drag and drop files into this open database, will they be indexed or imported? I would like to learn how to add more files as indexed, not imported, to the open database file on the external hard drive.

Importing is always (and intentionally) the default behavior.
You can hold the Command-Option keys when dragging and dropping to index an item.
