Any comments on Apple Pages?
To me, this seems like a very reasonable way to handle Markdown documents with resources like images etc.
I personally would never use PDF, and previous adventures with various documents formats have resulted in me using Markdown as much as possible (I would guess 95-99% of everything I write).
To me the advantage is that I can use the markdown documents in various ways, converting to various formats in a fairly simple way - see for example Marked 2, and pandoc.
It’s a walled garden. Apple hasn’t published the file format, so nothing else can read Pages files. For that reason, I rarely use it, and never for something I want to store for the long term.
