After the latest update, Chinese input methods no longer work correctly in DEVONthink.
As shown in the attached video, when using a Chinese Pinyin input method in a Markdown file, the Pinyin letters are incorrectly inserted into the note together with the converted Chinese characters.
Chinese input works normally in all other applications, so the issue appears to be specific to DEVONthink.
I tested several different Chinese input methods, including:
the built-in macOS Pinyin input method
RIME
WeChat Input
All of them show the same issue in DEVONthink after the update.
This bug has been really frustrating, and it has significantly affected the overall experience. For now, I’ve switched to iA Writer for writing and editing.
I tried to reproduce that. Interestingly, it seems to work better in an existing MD file containing latin script. If I go to its end and type something like xiao xin, I get 笑心. and no latin characters.
In a new, empty MD file, I see the same effect as you do.
