Allow MCP Server to access specific database only

I am currently experimenting with Codex and since I keep some of my documentation in DT, it would come in handy, if Codex could access these documents.

The documents are in a separate database, but I usually keep several databases open at the same time, which contain private information, which I do not want Codex to have access to.

I was looking for a configuration similar to the Server settings, where I can configure access for each database individually, but this seems not to be possible at the moment.

Am I missing something or would this be a wish for a new feature of the MCP server?

Harry.

PS: Limiting scope in the Codex queries is not an option, I don’t trust AI that much.

There’s an option in File > Database Properties to exclude databases from chat & MCP. Another possibility would be to close all private databases before using Codex. And groups & documents can be also excluded from chat & MCP via the Info > Generic inspector.

Oh dang, I did not find this setting! I was expecting to find it in the AI settings.

Thank you for the very quick answer - 7 minutes! <3
