AND and NEAR are being ignored

Ok, I am frustrated.
I trying to use DevonAgent Pro to set up a new search set using the search of “term 1” AND “term 2”.

The boolean window is grayed out and it ignored my “AND” and turns it into an “OR”.

I have re-downloaded the Pro version, licensed it and everything seems to be normal. I’m running on El Captain and I dont know if that is a problem. I have un-install, re-installed, tried different computers. All to no avail

Any advice.

The operators aren’t ignored, the title of the search window is only trimmed to display as much information as possible.

Scroll down in the image they posted. The AND is now OR

That’s just the automatic term used to follow “interesting” links but is disabled anyway.
