I was playing around a bit and came up with a script that creates a link from an invoice to the account statement where this invoice was paid and vice versa, creates a link from the account statement back to this invoice It’s not thoroughly tested, but did its job for at least 12 invoices. Annotation field of the PDF

Such a thing does not exist. Annotations are bound to pages in the PDF. You can, of course, decide to attach them all to the first page (or the last, or whatever), but the basic idea is that they refer to something in the PDF.
