Any interest for DT-To-Go if no docs in Database?

Hi,
In order to duplicate documents, I never actually imported docs into DevonThink Database. I just make DT point to folders and index them instead. All folders are shown with the little arrow showing me it’s a shortcut, a pointer to the original folder/docs.
My guess is, that in this case, DT-To-Go is useless as synchronizing won’t sync the DB itself since it is more or less empty: no docs inside, juste indexes and meta data.
Is that right?

You can view, edit, organize or rename etc. indexed files in DEVONthink To Go too.
