Anyone using DTP with Daylite?

I spend much of my day in Market Circle Daylite (CRM, Calendar, Contacts, To Do lists, Project manager, etc), and more and more recently in DTP.

Been wondering how I can better integrate the two, beyond my amateurish “Copy Item Link” from DTP and pasting it into a task, note, contact or other record in Daylite. It works, but it’s not elegant.

While I take notes in Daylite (during meetings, on calls, etc), I am using DTP more and more to actually write outlines, content and the like, based both on my notes as well as research (carried out online and elsewhere, often brought into DTP as a reference doc with my notes or highlights on it). I plan to take this content and put it into one-pagers, Keynote presentations, blog posts, and more.

Are there other ways to connect data/documents in DTP with the Daylite CRM?

Just exploring my options at this point.

Any other Daylite users out there?

There’s no specific integration with Daylite. I can’t determine if it has an AppleScript dictionary either.

I am currently trying out Daylite and DTP. I had your same question. If I learn anything, then I will try to share back here. Look forward to seeing what others come up with.

Best solution I’ve found so far is to “Copy Item Link” from DTP and paste it into a Daylite record, be it a Task, Person, Company, Project, Opportunity (all in Details field) or in a note linked to one of those.

For example as I follow the Task chain I have set up to develop new content for posting on blogs and such, I look up journal articles online, copy the PDF or link to the article in DTP, add notes and annotations and use these to develop new articles, whitepapers, etc in DTP. I then link from the new whitepaper, presentation or blog post in DTP and copy the Item Link back into Daylite.

Seems to work ok, and since it’s just a link, anytime I update or revise content, I always see the latest version when I click on the link in Daylite to open in DTP.

There may be ways to use Zapier, but for my current needs, this seems sufficient.

Hope this helps.
