Apple Mail & DT3 Issues

Hi All,

I’ve got an issue with using DT3 and Apple Mail, the plugin seems to be missing.

Details
MacBook Air - M2
macOS Monterey - 12.5
DT3 - 3.85
Apple Mail - 16.0

The menu for sending one or more selected messages to DEVONthink from within Mail is missing.

-DEVONthink’s Mail plugin is installed.

-There is no option for Mail > Preferences > General > Manage Plug-ins option.

-DEVONthink has full disk access in System Preferences
-There is no copy of DEVONthink.mailbundle located anywhere.

or here

I’m a bit confused as to what to do next… any ideas anyone?

Thanks
Mik

Does DEVONthink have Full Disk Access enabled in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy?

It does

Do you have your home directory on an external drive?

When you say home directory… what do you mean?

The database is currently on a remote drive - I know that’s not encouraged, but everything else is local?

This probably is an Apple Mail thing. Use your favorite search engine and look for ideas at “apple mail no manage plug-ins button”

Thanks for this… I’ve ran a couple of terminal commands as suggested but no joy. I’ll keep searching…

I seem to remember there was a thread which covered a permissions issue which caused this; the current user didn’t have permission to either read or write the folder in which the plugin is stored. Jim might remember more, or you might find more with the forum search. I can’t provide more details or help off hand, but will post back if more comes to mind.

Hold the Option key and choose Help > Report bug to start a support ticket.
Thanks!
