\<Sigh\>. Of course, a little research on the forum would have revealed [an infinitely more efficient way of doing this](https://discourse.devontechnologies.com/t/renaming-change-date-format-from-custom-metadata/65958/4) and would have saved much anguish.

On the bright side, I’ve learned odds and ends along the way!
