Archiving Apple Mail

Using DEVONthink 4.1 on iMac running latest Tahoe public beta.

I cannot import nor archive mails/mailboxes into my old email database. This is the messages;

Help needed!

Only the import of one message failed. Or was it the only one that you tried to import?

In this case it was only one (1).

But I have tried to import several mails as well as importing a mailbox. DEVONthink correctly shows what are new emails since last import, but the new messages cannot be imported (using the “Import” nor "“Archive Mailbox”).

Another thing (not important now) is that the system is very slow compared to DT3.

Adding to my previous post.

Slow in this case refers to the time DT4 uses to identify new emails compared to what is already existing in my database.

On older macOS versions DEVONthink used a Mail plug-in, this isn’t possible anymore. Anyway, is DEVONthink allowed to automate Apple Mail and does it have full disk access?

It is “Yes” to the question.

But now I suspect that my old email database is corrupt.

I created a new database and imported all my emails into it and there was no problem at all. After this I added 2 mails to a mailbox and had DEVONthink update the new database. This work as well.

In conclusion I think we can consider the problem solved and I will delete the old email database.

First do a File > Verify & Repair Database on it to see what is reported about its health.

Yes I did run the Verify & Repair and it reports no problems.

The database was created June 4, 2024 and Info on the database doesn´t indicate any odd stuff.

Anyway, the database is gone and replaced by a fresh one and everything is fine.
