I’m wondering if there is a way to change an icon so that it may more fully represent what’s in the folder. It looks like the icons are static and you can’t choose another icon but maybe I’m missing something.
You’ve mentioned a good use of icons to add information value to your database. I design my own informational icons for this.
Icons for databases, groups (folders), and documents can be changed in Tools > Show Info. Select a group, etc., Open Show Info. Click the icon, and copy it or paste another. You can copy any icon and paste it here. To change a database icon, change the icon on the .dtBase2 database file (package) using Finder’s Info panel.
That worked. I found a repository of icons on the Internet and chose a couple for two important folders.
