Audio recorder doesn't work after updating latest version

Hi All,

I just updated to version 3.0.2. This may have started happening before I updated it.

The audio recorder shortcut in the DEVONthink menu up the top of the screen doesn’t work. When I hit the play button it toggles to a pause button and vice-versa. Nothing starts recording.

This is strange as I’ve been using it recently…

Any tips?

Has DEVONthink been granted right to access the microphone? To check this:

  • Open System Preferences and select Security & Privacy
  • Select the Privacy tab in this view
  • Select Microphone in the left hand list and check to see if DEVONthink is in the list of applications granted access to the microphone.

Apologies for the delay!

Yes, DevonThink has access to the Microphone via System Preferences.

It still doesn’t work! It just sits on “00:00” when I hit record.

Any other suggestions?

I appear to have the same problem.

I am running 3.0.4 DT on a 15.3.4 Mac OS

Sorted DT had access to microphone but for some reason my anti virus software was asking for permission? I rebooted DT and then gave it permission and it seemed to work fine I also had to turn the sound up on the computer. All very strange but seems it does work with some fiddling.
