Automatically store in group.

Pardon me if this question has already been asked. I am just wondering if DTOP is smart enough to automatically move a scanned document into proper group based on its content instead of the inbox? Is this not what the ‘Intelligence’ feature means? Or have I totally misunderstood this functionality.

You’re probably thinking of Data > Auto Classify, which the Help file describes as

@DEVONthink Pro Office Help

Auto Classify: This command analyzes the selected documents and tries to find the groups where they would fit best. If a document cannot be classified with certainty, DEVONthink Pro Office beeps and lists it in the Log panel. If DEVONthink Pro Office finds more than one fitting group, it creates replicants in all groups the document fits into. This function works best with a large database that is already somewhat accurately structured.

Documents must be selected; the command activated manually. Note, it’s implied in Help but not explicit: the scope of Auto Classify is a single database.
