Avoiding "DEVONtech_storage" files

I have a DTPO2pb3r2 database that I am using to collect documents that will get burned onto a supplemental data disk for a client on one of my engagements. The documents are arranged in groups (folders). I intend to export these to a burn folder when the task is complete.

When I export to a test folder, the documents appear in the right hierarchy, but each folder has a DEVONtech_storage file.

I can have Hazel eliminate these, but is there a way to prevent their creation in the first instance?

No, this file contains the information needed to reconstruct the data exactly as it was in the database you exported it from.

… and I assume there is no problem deleting the file once the export is completed?

Nope, if you don’t want to import it later it can be deleted.
