I have a large archive of pdf files given to me by a friend for qualitative analysis. Along the way, I discovered that the files are locked, preventing me from highlighting interesting sections to track the work I’ve done. A while back, I found that I could use the “OCR to searchable pdf…” command to rescan the document and create an unlocked version but that doesn’t seem to work in DT3. Is there another way to unlock pdf files in DT3, preferably in batches?
This isn’t possible, the only possibility coming to my mind is to print the unlocked documents into a new one.
OK thanks for the quick reply. The print to PDF trick seems to work, only it must be performed on one document at a time. I can make this work until a better option presents itself.
