It’s a well-kept secret that one can use other apps to work with files stored in DEVONthink.

The inline viewer is an Apple utility and includes various formats
Pages and Numbers
PDFs
Images
…
I use Pages for word processing work and Numbers for spreadsheets
Better editing features in both Mac and IOS than the Devonthink editors
We also have the inline viewer in DTTG (IOS), and an IOS bonus - content links are active
