to allow additional searching once a search is stopped. i may have to wait 10 - 20 seconds for the search function to be available once I stop a search using the stop button.

This is still a known issue (see manual/help). First we had to fix all severe bugs like crashes or slowdowns.

Simple workaround: Close the window and open a new one
