Lately, when I launch DTP 2 beta I get the “this beta expired” message which I can then click through and open a database as usual. When I go to check for updates just to be certain, it says I’m using the most recent version.

Have the same issue after I upgrade a 2.0 Pro to a Pro Office version.
Won’t launch so I can input my license.
This is a hunch and nothing more… so this may not work.
But what I’d try to do is the following:
Make sure all your DEVONthink Pro programs are closed.
in the Finder, navigate to /Library/Preferences/ and move com.devon-technologies.thinkpro2.registration.plist out of that directory to somewhere like your Desktop, then relaunch, and see if it asks you for the license key.
I don’t know if it will work for you, or not. When I relaunched, it showed as unlicensed, and I could go to the Help menu and reenter a license.
When you reregister, it will create a new .plist file, and you can delete the original.
If anything goes wrong though, you can just put the plist file back into its original location.
I hope this is helpful!
Thanks, akulbe. That wouldn’t help me but perhaps it will help povlhp. I just have to hit the ok button and then I’m fine. I don’t have to reenter my license key. Until yesterday I’ve only had the “expired” notice pop up on start up. Strangely though, in the middle of a session yesterday, when I added a pdf to a folder in the finder that I have the “add to DT” action set on, it popped up and I did have to quit the app and restart it.
It doesn’t seem to have anything to do with my license key.
My problem was I was launching an old copy of Personal, and I got the warning before being able to see the version. So solved now.
