I would like to create Bookmarks from Safari or other apps to save in DTTG 4.
When I use the share sheet and choose DTTG 4 the page quickly blinks but then nothing happens. No shortcut is created in any database.
Does the built-in share sheet function work?
Do I need to create my own Shortcut for this purpose?
Yes, I do this frequently. Does it work after waiting a little bit or terminating the DEVONthink To Go app?
Neither waiting nor terminating DTTG 4 works.
It just blinks once but the bookmark goes nowhere.
This is on iOS 26.2 by the way.

Then I choose the share icon at the bottom and choose DT4:
The screen blinks and returns back to the same exact screen.
Incidentally - “Create DT Item” is a Shortcut I used to use with DTTG 3 - it no longer works either on DTTG 4.
If you go to DTT4 Settings, select the About option and then Send Feedback. In the email could mark it for the attention of Alan.

My understanding is that DDTG 4.02 will likely fix this issue when it is released.
In the interim this is an iOS Shortcut which works to save bookmarks and files to DTTG 4.
It’s an interesting learning experience with what can be done with Shortcuts so was worth a small learning curve even though the native share sheet feature should be fixed soon.
This shortcut saves to a fixed group (which you need to select by editing the shortcut) but you can instead opt to choose the destination Group each time if you wish.
