Bug document provider

I think there is a beastly bug with the document provider code.

I have experimented with document provider with PDF expert. DTTG freezes but it seems to persist and actually I have had to reinstall because I can’t get the app working again. I tried restarting etc no good.

It is specifically to do with using document provider. This happened yesterday and has happened again today…and it is annoying because it takes ages to reinstall my data

Can you give a little more info on “DTTG freezes”? Over here, I open PDF Expert, select “iCloud Drive” in the main panel, navigate document picker to a location in a DEVONthink database, and select a PDF, the document opens immediately. Nothing is frozen. I can close PDF Expert and open DTTG and it’s running normally.

Perhaps I’m not doing the same steps I assumed you were doing.

I have selected the item in the provider window and when I go back to DTTG it is frozen and I can see the folder structure etc but can’t select anything. After 5-10 seconds it crashes. During this time the whole iPad is unresponsive. when I restart Devonthink it is a black background with the blue icon…frozen screen…nothing happens. This is permanent and despite restarting etc it remains unresponsive…This is the second time it has happened… I need to reinstall DTTG again…

Bad stuff. You need [i]Support[/i], not the forum. If you open a ticket they can guide you through collecting info from DTTG that can contribute to resolving your problem.
