Camera to DTTG iOS Shortcut

I have for many years been using an iOS shortcut that lets me use the iPhone camera to take photos and capture them in DEVONthink to Go. I do not know where I got it and I can’t find it mentioned here in the support area.

I am using DTTG version 3.8.14.

The advantage this shortcut offers is it will prompt me to name the photo(s), and it will prompt me asking how many photos I want to take. Therefore I can take a series of photos in one fell swoop instead of having to capture photos one at a time with the New Media tool in DTTG.

The shortcut is named Camera to DTTG. If I created this shortcut, I sure don’t remember doing it. I don’t remember creating any shorts ever.

Anyway, I inadvertently deleted or modified one bit of the shortcut so it has stopped working.

First, would anyone know where I got this shortcut?

Second, perhaps the easy way out is to fix my goof.

When I try to use the shortcut, after I continue past the file name prompt, I receive the error “please choose a value for each parameter in the action.”

This is what I see in the shortcut and I have no idea what or how to modify it to make it work again.

I tried the query "Camera to DTTG" on DucDuckGo. The top result was this thread, the second was this blog post – which is probably where you originally got the shortcut:

Awesome. That did get me back to the default shortcut.

Strange that searches for keywords like “Camera to DTTG” inside this web site didn’t turn up that tech pub.

However, this gets me back to why and how I managed to goof the shortcut in the first place.

With iOS 18.x the shortcut works as expected, but with iOS 26.x it doesn’t quite work correctly. The hangup is when I choose to take more than one photo, the camera controls are missing.

That freeware shortcut is ~5 years old and time and OSes change.
I cracked it open tonight and made some improvements and fixes and an updated name
