Can database live in iCloud?

I’m hoping to work from home during the COVID-19 shutdown at the college - and then be able to access the database when I go to the office.

Can I - create my database in iCloud?

No, this is not possible and you should never put your DEVONthink databases in any cloud-synced folder.
DEVONthink not only explicitly disallows creation of a database in such a location, it won’t open or sync a database in them either.

You can sync using our sync engine (see Preferences > Sync).
This is covered in the Help > Documentation > In & Out > Sync.
