Every time I open a group on in DTTG on my iPad, it is sorted alphabetically. I have to manually change the sort order to Date/Descending, which is how I want to view the contents of every folder on there. Is there any way I can make that the default, so every folder opens up sorted by Date/Descending?

Yes I did. I discovered that the way in which the “parent folders” are organized dictates how the sub-folders nested within them are organized (unless changed individually). So I just set the top level folders to be sorted by Date Descending, and all the folders within them follow suit by default.
I just tried it. Does not work for me.
The weird thing is, it actually says: “View - Sort - by Date modified” yet it sorts it by name…
Are you changing the sort order in DEVONthink or DEVONthink To Go?
The sort order in DEVONthink does not currently affect the sort order in DEVONthink To Go. To change the sort order in DEVONthink To Go, tap the button in the upper-right of the list of items (it looks like an ‘A’ and ‘Z’ with a arrow). The list will flip around and show you sort options.
I was doing it in Devonthink pro, bummer about the syncing.
