Can I open database on an external from different Macs

My regular databases exist on both Macs and are synced by Bonjour.

I am think of putting a chunk of old archived data in a database on an external drive, which will mostly be in a drawer.

When I want to open the database, say every three months, does it matter which Mac I connect it to? Will DT3 complain if it was last opened on the other Mac?

No there should be no issue with opening it on either machine.
