Can't Create A New Database

I’m running DT 3.0.2 on Catalina 10.15.1 and I can’t create a new database. I’m syncing with iCloud. I’ve tried creating using the File menu and the plus icon at the bottom of the sidebar. Nothing happens. I’ve restarted DEVONthink with no success.

I don’t know if I’m missing something or if something is broken.

I still can’t create a database. Not sure what’s up or how to troubleshoot this.

Did you directly send it to cgrunenberg - at - devon-technologies.com or to the default address? So far I haven’t received the logs.

I originally sent it to the default address, but I just resubmitted and CC’d you.

I cannot create new databases, either.

Is it possible after booting in safe mode?

Yes, safe mode helps. I can create new databases in safe mode.
What should I do?

I didn’t get it resolved. I tried a lot of things to fix it. I booted in safe mode, I created a new user on the same Mac, I cleaned out some system stuff, and nothing fixed it. I was able to create a new database by installing DevonThink on my wife’s Mac.

I’m wondering if some app I have installed is causing the issue. Below is my list of apps installed. Do you have any of the same apps?

I am experiencing the same behavior (New Database…) menu item is unresponsive. I am running DevonThink 3.5.1 and Catalina 10.5.2. Please advise.

Note: The current version of macOS Catalina is 10.15.6. You should update your operating system. Then check if the same behavior occurs.

Does this still happen after booting in safe mode by pressing the Shift modifier key during startup?

I haven’t tried that yet. I am in the middle of a big project for work and was going to look at this in a couple of weeks when it is finished. BlueFrog (DEVONtechnologies Support) suggested upgrading to MacOS 10.15.6 and then checking to see if the problem is resolved.
