Can't create temporary file in /private/tmp.

When scanning in documents I’ve recently started to receive this error:

If i select Continue, the document appears in my global inbox. Is there anything I can do to stop this error from coming up? I never had this problem before the update. I’m using a ScanSnap ix500 scanner if that makes any difference.

What operating system are you running?
And be aware that there are issues with ScanSnap and Sierra, if you’re on it.
