Can't delete group

I’m unable to delete groups held in the main inbox. I can move them to the trash and empty the trash, but they come back after I reopen DT.

I verified and repaired, in case that would help. I also deleted the folder from the Library/Application Support folder. Neither removed the groups when I reopened DT.

Sorry. Following a solution in another forum post, I deleted the folder in Library/Application Support that corresponded to the undeletable DT group.

Can you please give the URL to that post.

Something odd here. Not good to mess with the internals of the DEVONthink files.

That makes no sense. Groups in DT have no correspondence to objects in the file system – unless you’re talking about an indexed folder. Are you?

I concur with @chrillek and I don’t think the 5-year old post you referred to is fixing a problem with a group that does not delete. @bluefrog can comment on possibly what damage you did to DEVONthink system and the way forward.

Thanks. The group showed up again and I moved it to and emptied the Trash. The problem appears now to be solved.

The instructions are to remove items from the folder, not the folder itself.
