Can't Save PDF to DEVONthink 3

Save to DT option remains in PDF drop down menu in Print, but nothing happens. Have to Save to Finder, then move to DT.

Using Sequoia 15.0.

Any suggestions?

Does DEVONthink have Full Disk Access and its Automation permissions allowed in System Settings > Privacy & Security?

Yes to both.

Remove the service from ~/Library/PDF Services, then install it again via DEVONthink 3 > Install Add-ons…. Does this fix the issue?

Hi Christian:

Followed instructions and for some reason it opened Firefox to confirm adding the extension for Clip to DT, which opens the Sorter. If I click on the DT icon in the Menu Bar, I can select a PDF and it will open the Finder. If I use Command P, the Print dialogue has the option to Save to PDF and offers a menu for where to put it in Finder. It does not have Save PDF to DT.

Then I opened Safari, which I use more often, and now Save PDF to DT is in the print dialogue and it works. And DT in the menu bar opens the Sorter.

So confused about Firefox, but glad it’s now working in Safari.

Firefox and Chrome don’t use the system print dialog. You need to click Print with system print dialog to access the same PDF menu.

Hi Bluefrog:

My bad. I haven’t used Firefox in a while and forgot about that. And since I’m always on a laptop, I need to scroll down to see that option. Thanks for the reminder. All good now!

No worries and you’re welcome.
