I want to be able to change the author in the properties field of items I import into my database. When I scan something in, a dialog box comes up that allows me to input this and other information. Once the item is in the database, however, I haven’t figured out how properties can be changed (except for the date modified & created, which you have helped me by showing me the scripts to do this). Is there a script to change the author or some other easy way to make this modification in properties? It’s particularly useful because if I can control this bit of information, I can have the author as a column and then sort by author. Doesn’t work, however, if I’m not able to consistently have the correct author in the property field.
“Author” on a PDF? Select the PDF and open Tools > Show Properties
