Changed cmd+w shortcut behavior

Hi,

I’m running DT 3.9.8 standard edition.
A few versions back I started to notice that pressing cmd+w inside DT does not immediately close the main window anymore, but only the document displayed in the preview pane.
Only after the preview pane is “empty”, cmd+w will close the main window.
I’m pretty certain that in earlier versions cmd+w would close the main window with the preview window contents untouched.

I’m not very fond of the new behavior.
Is there a way to get the old behavior back, so that cmd+w will close the main window regardless of any contents/tabs populating the preview window?

Kind regards,
Sebastian

There’s no such possibility currently, the only option is to press Cmd-W a second time if necessary.

Thanks for your quick reply!
Why did the behavior change, if I may ask?
Was it done intentionally for DT or is this something dictated by Apple guidelines?

Sebastian

It’s an intentional change to easily clear the preview pane.
