# Clarification for how Sync works with RSS feeds

I read the user manual, but I’m still having trouble conceptualizing how sync works. Specifically for RSS feeds.
My DT database is the normal setup, not indexed. I have many RSS feeds in which I setup on my MacBook Pro. At my desk, the MBP and an iPad show the same feeds status.
I shut my MPB before going on a trip, which I take only the iPad. During the trip, no RSS feeds update.
This makes me believe that the iPad is dependent on the MBP to fetch those RSS feeds, then sync them with the iPad. Why wouldn’t the iPad just get them alone?

DEVONthink To Go does not yet support feeds on its own (e.g. you can’t create new ones in this app), therefore the updates from the Mac are necessary.
