Devonthink Clip hasn’t been working for a few weeks. Why? That’s a real shame! I can’t find anything about it anywhere. It seems no one else is using the feature. Or am I mistaken? Is anyone else having the same problem? Thanks in advance for your answers!

Please provide more information when reporting issues, i.e., what specifically “isn’t working”, what app you’re clipping from, problematic web pages, etc.
That being said, we are working on some updates that should improve clipping.

Thanks for the super-fast reply. So the problem seems to be known. It involves clips – text snippets – from various news apps and browsers. I haven’t been able to send the texts or text excerpts to Dttg3 for a few weeks now. The new version 3.8.12 was released about three weeks ago. In the version history in the App Store, it said the problems with “Clip to Devonthink” had been resolved. I was/am very confused. I use the feature daily as a political consultant and am already looking for an alternative solution.

I have no doubt of your issues but what i do is working for me. can you give some URL’s and exactly what you are doing to enable people and @BLUEFROG to replicate.
Thanks for your comment!! I think I’ve explained it. I can no longer clip text or text snippets from any URL. This also applies to text or text snippets from various apps, such as the Apple Books app or raindrop.io. However, sending entire web pages or bookmarks is possible.
Well that degree of failure not seen here. One simple thing to try. Shut down your iOS device completely, let pause for a few minutes, and then restart. Sometimes that fixes these sorts of things. cannot hurt to try.

Hallo! Ich würde gerne wissen, wie lange das noch dauert, bis das Problem durch ein Update beseitigt wird? Ich warte nun schon seit mehr als zwei Monaten auf die Beseitigung dieses Fehlers. Für mich ist das ein essentieller Bestandteil von DTTG, da ich sehr viel unterwegs bin und unterwegs arbeite. Ich dachte, dass es kurz nach der Bereitstellung von Ios26 geschehen würde, doch da habe ich mich geirrt.

Hallo! Ich warte jetzt schon wieder 17 Tage! Insgesamt nun schon mehr als 3 Monate auf die Änderung. Für mich ist die Clip-Funktion essenziell. Was heißt denn genau in Kürze, wie weiter oben gesagt wird? Für mich sind in Kürze nicht mehr als drei Tage. Ich schaue jeden Tag mehrmals nach, ob die Fehler mittlerweile behoben wurde, doch leider vergeblich. Ich bin ein wenig verzweifel, wie auch einige meiner Kollegen hier am Institut für Recherche.

Ios 26.0.1. DTTG4 Can’t clip to DTTG. I press share, opens with icons to select share destination. Select DTTG4. It seems to start a routine, where I can see the DTTG options screen (set tags, etc) but then stops and returns again to the screen with the share options. Try several times and it does not continue but returns to the share options.
The last upload to Apple was rejected because there’s a problem with iOS 26 — and that’s Apple’s focus now. iOS 18 is a thing of the past. We are now working on fixing issues related to iOS 26 and then there’ll be a new version of DEVONthink To Go 3.
