I’m trying to activate the shortcut key for capturing a web archive using cmd-% in preferences’ keyboard shortcuts I’m warned that the key combo is already in use.
If I am in Safari and do cmd-% I’m linked to YouTube’s home page. I’ve search my keyboard shortcut app (Spark), but there’s nothing there about cmd-%. I’ve looked in Safari preferences and other places, but can’t find where cmd-% is identified with YouTube.
Launch System Preferences. Click on the ‘Keyboard’ icon, then on the ‘Keyboard Shortcuts’ tab. Next, click on ‘Services’ in the left column.
Browse through the checked items for the Command-% keyboard shortcut. I don’t know whether that YouTube setting is a Service or has been set in another category in the left column, such as Application Shortcuts (or was set in some other way). If you can kill the assignment of the shortcut to YouTube and make certain that the shortcut is assigned to WebArchive capture, you should get it working properly. (I’m still not comfortable with the UI changes for Services in Snow Leopard.)
