Combining DT to go and Dropbox: a good idea?

I’m a fanatic of DevonThink, but I haven’t passed the step to try DT to go. My main concern is about memory, as my DT files are quite big on my desktop computer. I don’t think they would ever fit on my iPhone, which they would clutter.

Thus the idea that it may be possible to combine the strength of DT and Dropbox, to synchronize DT files across devices and platforms. It seems it could solve the equation of portability of large files on DT to go.

Has anybody tried this solutions? What was your experience?

You don’t have to synchronize all or complete databases, only stuff stored inside or replicated to the “Mobile Sync” group will be synchronized.

We’re working on Dropbox support but only for synchronization (see … an-accent/)
