Command + Delete Shortcut Change Request (match Apple)

The CMD + delete keyboard shortcut doesn’t behave as expected. I am expecting it to behave the same as in Apple Notes & other native macOS applications.

Observed Behavior

When editing a line of text, DEVONthink will highlight the file in a light grey to show which file is open. At this time if you press CMD+delete, DEVONthink will send the document you are working on to the trash.

If selecting a file name, DEVONthink will highlight the file in blue to show it is actively focus of the application, but there is no active editing happening in the document. At this time if you press CMD+delete, DEVONthink will send the document you are working on to the trash.

Desired Behavior

CHANGES - When editing a line of text, DEVONthink will highlight the file in a light grey to show which file is open. At this time if you press CMD+delete, DEVONthink should delete from the current placement of the text cursor to the beginning of the line.

DOES NOT CHANGE - If selecting a file name, DEVONthink will highlight the file in blue to show it is actively focus of the application, but there is no active editing happening in the document. At this time if you press CMD+delete, DEVONthink will send the document you are working on to the trash.

The proposed change would bring the CMD+delete shortcut in line with other MacOS applications, for example Apple Notes.

Good observation.
