I just upgraded to the latest DT version 3.9.8 and noticed that the Paste command no longer has a key command linked to it. Why is this so?
I have also upgraded to Sequoia a few days ago. Can it be related to this?
Actually version 3.9.8 didn’t change any shortcuts and over here it’s still the same shortcut. Maybe a conflict with a third-party tool or custom shortcuts defined in the system settings?
Hello @cgrunenberg , it was working before I upgraded. So I have no idea what is happening. In the Edit menu no shortcut appears next to the paste command. All others still have the standard shortcut symbols on the right side.
The system configuration for all apps:

Did you just add the App Shortcut?
-
What other keyboard-related utilities are you running, e.g., Keyboard Maestro, etc. ?

In DEVONthink, hold the Option key and choose Help > Report bug to start a support ticket.
- I have added the shortcuts a long time ago.
- I have Keyboard Maestro installed for a very long time also, but hardly use it.
- OK. I will open a support ticket. Nobody else is having this issue?
Not having the issue. Use Keyboard Maestro also.
I just deleted the Paste shortcut in the System Configuration for the Keyboard “All Applications”, and now it is showing up again in the DT Menu.
Problem solved!
Possibly a bug in Sequoia?
Possibly but we haven’t reproduced it here so far.
Also, I’m not sure why you would have added that App shortcut as Command-V is the default Paste hotkeys. But either way we’re glad to hear it’s working now.
Yes, I don’t remember why I did it. Just asked this question myself
I think it was related to having a shortcut to “Paste and Match Style”, which I use frequently. But why I also added the default I can’t remember.
