I am experiencing issues with Coverflow. Thumbs don’t seem to get stored and if scroll back and forth in a collection, thumbs from docs that I already visited need to load again.
Also, clicking on a thumb to open it externally on double-click does nothing, despite the respective setting activated.
Would not think that this would be desired behavior. Is this functionality still supported? Could only find old stuff when doing a search on ‘coverflow’
Apart from the bug that double-clicking doesn’t honor this preference, everything else seems to be working as expected. Which macOS version do you use?
The thumbs dont get stored here consistantely. Example: I browse a group with appr. 120 docs scrol until all thumbs loaded. Go to the another group and scroll around. Then back to the initial one - and the thumbs need to load again, not all of them but a significant number…
Cover Flow’s previews are not cached by DEVONthink on its own, this is actually handled by macOS. The thumbnails of e.g. PDF documents in the database are only used if the files are not accessible (e.g. indexed files on unmounted volumes) but have a lower quality (especially in case of a large view/window).
Switch to another document and then back to the document, does this update the thumbnail?
