Some today I was planning to use DEVONthink 1.6a, so I was up to import my knowledge base (about 500 PDFs) at once. The import went well. After that I did "Werkzeuge > Sichern & Komprimieren", but DEVONthink crashed.
Now, the restart of DEVONthink does stop at the start up screen, which announces "Initialisiere & Überprüfe…". Nothing else happens.
My personal impression of DEVONthink is bad. I was testing the application yesterday and it crashed a few times. The idea of this application is good, but it seems to be quite unstable.
Could you please activate the crash reporter (see preferences of Console application) and send us the crash log afterwards (located in the folder ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/) or even better, some example files causing troubles? Finally, if you’re interested we’ll send you a 1.7 beta as soon as it’s available.
