i am a medical student and totally new to this software here after reading Dr. Dini’s New Book to use it as a note taking cum reference tool. (Zettelkasten)
I wanted to know if there is a way to create small tables in the note taking section and inserting pictures in the notes?

I can’t speak to any DT-specific support, but if you’re authoring tables in Markdown in general, the app TableFlip is well worth your time and money. https://tableflipapp.com
Or you could open your markdown documents in a (currently) free editor like Typora which has great table support. It’s possible this could become a paid app though in future. It’s possible to do tables in markdown natively with the pipe character but it’s a bit clunky.
