Cursor disappears after dragging a photo into a Rich Text (note?)

Hi all.

I create a new Rich Text (or Formatted Note or HTML), type some text, then drag a photo into the document and … poooof… the cursor disappears. I have found that if I then hit an arrow key, it re-appears.

Is it my eyes (or my age)?

Or is it a bug?

It’s a bug of macOS’ text engine, e.g. the same happens in TextEdit.
