While we are looking to other apps for new features for DT, here’s one from Yojimbo: why not have a set of “folders” that you can add that are preconfigured for specific purposes? For example, a “folder” that contains forms for software registration numbers, a “folder” for daily journal entries, etc.
These “folders” would have their own icons (signifying their usage) and a set of forms/files equally preconfigured. These files could be duplicated, retaining their formatting etc, but with no data. Simply drag/drop the “folders” to the folder pane like you can do with toolbar icons. Encourage third parties to develop these.
The beauty of this (forgive me) is that you maintain the wide open flexibility of DT and its impressive AI features, etc. but you also help the “little guy” by giving him/her a head start.
