DA useful over slow modem link?

Is DA mainly useful with a broadband connection?

I have 32K modem connection, and I’m thinking that DA would not be very useful to me – assuming that it needs to access the content of websites before it can categorize them.

Am I correct in assuming this – or does DA require no more bandwidth than Google searching? Thanks!

Broadband certainly helps.

But, depending on what you wish to do, you may find the added features of DEVONagent worth running even on a modem. You can schedule searches to run while you’re sleeping, as a matter of fact.

Take a look at the little tutorial that I posted on another DA thread (March 12, 2005) on setting up searches designed to keep up with the literature on a topic. If you need that sort of ability, it’s priceless.
