Database Inbox Indicates Items That Aren't There...

A database inbox is showing “database name (8)” even though there are no items appearing in the inbox pane in DTPro. I have tried verifying and repairing the database, closing the database as well as quitting and restarting DTPro with no change.

Suggestions?

Groups count as items, even if they have no documents. Does your Inbox have any subgroups?

Well, there are no groups, but there is an item labeled “days of the week” which I know nothing about…

Sounds like that at some point you executed the template ‘Data>New from Template>Registers>Days of the Week’.

Thanks Greg. That was the cause of the mystery; heck if I know how I invoked the template… I certainly did not do it consciously!

I’ve read the DTPro manual and the “Taking Control…” book twice and I am still figuring out how to use DTPro. Slow Learner I guess…
