Database integrity & OSX clean-install

Hello all,

[Popped up an earlier post in the wrong forum - trying this again!]

I am considering cleaning up good and proper, and doing a clean-install with Mavericks, as opposed to simply an update. OK - to be honest, I might not go this route, since all my tweaks have my set-up working perfectly, and I’m nervous I lose functionality after a clean-install that I won’t ever remember how to get back…

But still - if I were to go the install route - as I’m sure many of you have before, is it relatively painless? I have duplicated all my files into DTP - i.e. no indexing. So would I simply(??) copy the DTP database folder onto an external, reinstall OSX and DTP, and then copy the DTB back? Could it really be that easy? And if so - would everything (annotations etc.) still link back to the relevant file etc., as it did? Or could there be complications?

Would love to hear some feedback from those who have done the above with previous OS versions… Tips/things to look out for etc…
