(Sorry if this is covered somewhere, but I’ve searched in forum and the manual and I haven’t managed to find a search string which brings up an answer…)
Is there a way of setting new defaults for the standard Rich Text Note (ie Data > New > Rich Text)? I know you can set the font in Preferences, but I’m looking for a way to set spacing or tabs for example.
I know I can set up my own template, and probably redirect the shortcut, but it seems there should be a way just to set the defaults for the standard note itself. Have I missed it?
Thanks for the reply. As I said, I know how to do this - had already done it in fact. (You don’t need to assign a key through system preferences though - DTP’s ‘add three underscores and the key-combination to the filename’ trick works here as well.)
I was simply wondering whether there was a way to change the default characteristics of the standard note itself. You can change the font, so why not the other aspects? I could then, for example, have notes I create using the Take Note hotkey use that default format and not have to do the formatting afterwards. (Or at least, that was the plan.)
If there isn’t a way to do this, it’s not a big deal at all
