Delete synced database on device

I want to delete a database on my iPhone under DTTG 3 that is synced to my Mac on DT 3.6.2. I want to delete from iPhone and keep the database on Mac. I’m using bonjour to sync them. Would these steps work?

  1. On iPhone, Turn off sync for that database
  2. On iPhone, swipe left to delete database

The second step is actually sufficient.
